Victorian seed pearl, crescent moon and star fringe necklace.

A truly lovely example of victorian seed pearl fringe necklaces set with one hundred and fifteen natural seed pearls.The necklace is comprised of four sections of hinged bar and star design with each star having been set with a seed pearl, graduated in lengths with the longest in the centre.Interspaced between the sections are three hanging crescent moons with eight-petal flowers in the centre, all of which have seed pearls set the central one being the largest has a hook for detaching or adding a pendant.

According to the victorians, crescent moons and stars symbolized spiritual guidance and direction.
