Carlos Grobler

Born in Africa in the 1970s and fascinated with the handmade masterpiece from a very young age; Carlos restored antique furniture as a schoolboy, using the proceeds from the sales to finance his studies. He apprenticed for 7 years as a goldsmith in South Africa under German master goldsmith Dieter Schidlowski; where his perfectionism and passion earned him a qualification with distinction. Carlos has produced custom jewelry for clients in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Germany and Australia.

In addition to his custom jewelry manufacturing business –not drawing a distinction between master craftmanship in any discipline– for the past three decades Carlos has continued to do a brisk trade in the sourcing, restoration and retailing of antique period furniture, silverware, art and collectibles. “I am passionate about quality pieces hand made by people at the peak of their abilities.
