Tudor inspired pendant / Pearl enhancer.(SOLD)

Weight: 20.47 grams 18ct yellow gold with the centre moss agate set with in 10ct rose gold.

Gems set:1 x Moss agate oval cabochon, 4 x round blue sapphire cabochon’s ,3 x oval spessartite garnets, 3 x old mine cut red garnets and 10 white culture pearls.

This pendant I created with a Tudor style in mind. The centre oval high domed moss agate was used as the focal point, a gold serpent embraces the top of the cabochon holding it in place.In mythology the serpent represents fertility, rebirth and immortality. Taking this in mind I wanted the piece to resemble the creation of the world, the oval moss agate has unusual beige flecks of what I interpret as the clouds and embracing the world is the serpent. Set around it are spessartite garnets,old mine cut red garnets ,pearls and sapphire cabochon’s all with-in Tudor style settings. The enhancer / catch can be opened to fit on a strand of pearls or gold chain-so the piece can be interchangeable to suit the needs of the wearer. The flexible oval red cabochon garnet dangles from the head of the serpent creating movement to the piece and length to the pendant.
