Regal Edwardian 70 carat amethyst pendant.( SOLD )

Regal Edwardian 70 carat amethyst pendant. Beautifully faceted with the table facet being gently domed, encased within a 10 carat yellow gold gutter frame. Two seed pearls have been set in the tapered bail.The O-ring and bail both in perfect like new condition.

The amethyst is deep purple with flashes of magenta and blue in certain light, very few surface scratches and eye clean without visible inclusions.Possibly Siberian in origin in my opinion.
