Rococo influenced Austro Hungarian large silver sideboard dish. Dating to the late 19th / early 20th century this dish is wildly ornate, chased with scrolls and flowers in a scalloped shell form featuring a cherub holding flowers riding a crest of a wave. Rococo style typically depicts scenes of youth,love,and nature, and elicits motion and drama-this piece emanates the true style of rococo. In over all good condition with some age related surface wear and a old repair to the rear foot of the bowl, commensurate with age. (Photos form part of the description)
